There are alot of nice beaches here in the Philippines but only a few are great. So far, I've been to only two very, very fine beaches here and the rest are best experienced drunk. I was talking to an old friend the other day and we were arguing on which of the two was better. What do you guys think?

Alona Beach, Bohol

El Nido, Palawan

I personally prefer El Nido but it's hard to get around and unless the sea, the sand, the limestone cliffs, the wild birds and underwater creatures is what you're after, El Nido won't be of much use to your amusement.

I'm hoping to be able to go up north to Pagudpod before the rainy season and Malapascua, Cebu (highly recommended by another old friend) on May. I'm sure there loads of other beautiful beaches that are not as well-known and I'ma do my best to find them.
